Dan Bray is chuffed to bits to be back on the berm for the third summer in a row. A multidisciplinary artist living in Halifax, he is the artistic director of The Villain's Theatre for which he has directed many plays - most recently The Duchess of Malfi and Arden, both of which earned him Merritt nominations this past winter ("Outstanding Production by an Emerging Company" and "Outstanding New Play by a Nova Scotian Playwright," respectively). Favourite acting roles include Gunter Buxtehude (Follow Me, Villains); Ashley (Sleeping Beauty), Flute (Midsummer Night's Dream), Alright (Cinderelly, Shakespeare by the Sea); Dr Einstein (Arsenic and Old Lace), Bill Harper (Reefer Madness), Cohen (The Underpants, Lions Den Theatre); and the Archduchess/Archduke (Orlando, Workshirt Opera). Dan also sits on the board of Theatre Nova Scotia and is a member of the Bus Stop Theatre Co-op. Look for him in the upcoming fringe play, Dark Matter, by Colleen MacIsaac. Dan would like to thank his family, Carey, MacLang, and Ron. www.villainstheatre.com
