Garry Williams is an actor, director, writer, and musician. He has written music for Arden (Villains); The FEAR Project (DaPoPo); Munsch Upon A Time (FAST); A Little Cabaret; So… What About Love? (DaPoPo); Supermoms!; Mother Courage and Her Children (PPTP); as well as KAMP; and King of Berlin (Doppler), currently in development. His original score for Jew of Malta (Villains) was nominated for a Merritt Award. He has music directed Carols in the Cathedral (LunaSea), The Veil (OneLight), and led collective musical creations Newton's Laws of Popularity (HGS), and Ghost Hotel (Tantramar). Favourite roles include Queen/Chorus (Workshirt Opera); Frederik in A Little Night Music (HSOF); George in Sunday in the Park With George (DaPoPo); Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte (HSOF); Falstaff in Henry IV, Part 1; Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing; Orsino in Twelfth Night; Ferdinand in The Tempest; and Peter Quince in Midsummer Night's Dream. His performances in The Miracle Man (Two Planks) and Tournament of Lies (Us vs Them) were Merritt-nominated. He has directed numerous musicals, operas, and plays including She Loves Me (HGS); Alcina (HSOF); Hansel and Gretel (Acadia Singing Theatre); Julius Caesar (DaPoPo); Twelfth Night (Shakespeare on the Quad). He is DaPoPo Theatre's artistic director.
